SBS 2011 DNS listen addresses problem (always reset "Listen on: all IP addresses" when reboot server)
Hi, server: SBS 2011 Standard, SP1. 2 nic, but the second is disabled. No have hyper-v role, but was, just i uninstalled some days ago. I set the correct listen addresses in dns manager properties. But when i restart the server, this listen addresses resetting, and always set "Listen on: all IP addresses". Therefore i have 404, 407, 408, 4015 events in dns event log, and stop some services (randomly) when server restarted. I try run fix network tool, from sbs console, but no change. Any idea? Thanks! Do you have a second NIC on the server? Please notice that two NIC is not supported since SBS2008: SBS 2008: Supported Networking Topology http://blogs.technet.com/b/sbs/archive/2008/09/16/sbs-2008-supported-networking-topology.aspx Sean Zhu TechNet Community Support

Yes, I have second nic, but this is disabled. I observe silently: Otherwise, i have more sbs 2011 servers, where i use 2 nics (the second is hyper-v) and no problem, but now, this is not intresting. Now i use only one nic, but a few days ago, installed and then uninstalled hyper-v (use second nic, for hyper-v) for some reason. I have event id 410, and this reset the dns interface listen addresses, and this set use all ip addresses.

I agree with Sean Zhu, 2 NICs are not supported in SBS 2011. For SBS queries, it is better to discuss here. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/smallbusinessserver/threads Thanks

Ok, i agree, but there is a solution to the problem? Please move this thread to the SBS forums. Thanks
